OctaBar IE Toolbar

OctaBar is a browser plug-in which allows you to search OctaFind directly from your browser.  Currently, the OctaBar is only available for IE 5.0+.  If you are using a different browser, please E-mail us and let us know which browser and version you are using.  If there is sufficient interest in another browser version of the OctaBar, we will consider developing one.
 

How to Install The OctaBar  (these instructions will be repeated on the next installation page)

Step 1:
When you click the link at the bottom of this page, the toolbar will automatically download to your computer.  The toolbar is approximately 100K and should download in less than 1 minute.

 

Step 2:
When the toolbar has finished downloading, the following warning will appear.  This warning is telling you that you are installing software from OctaFind.  Click "YES" to continue installing the toolbar.

Step 3:
Your browser will now return to normal.  To activate the toolbar, you will first need to restart your browser.  Then, click "View -> Toolbars -> OctaFind Toolbar" to show the toolbar. 

Note:  Sometimes the toolbar will appear all the way to the right of your browser window the first time you use it.  To move the toolbar, simply drag it to the position you prefer.
